- WEBINAR ON “DRIVERLESS CARS”
The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering conducted a webinar on “DRIVERLESS CARS” – The Future Trend in Automobile Sector for Engineering Aspiring Higher Secondary Students on 11.08.2020 using Google meet platform. 58 students from various higher secondary schools and many engineering college students participated. The sessions were handled by Mrs Aysha S Hameed, Mr Remanikanth S and Mr Vishakh K H, Asst Professors of EEE department.
The highly interactive session give an exposure on Current trends in Automobile Sector for Engineering Aspiring Higher Secondary Science Students. The objectives of the webinar were the following.
- A glimpse into the role of Artificial Intelligence in self driving cars
- An overview of Electric cars- the ultimate futuristic cars
- Exposure to career options in Emerging Technology after 12th
The participants were very enthusiastic and involved throughout the session. They provided and excellent feedback also regarding the webinar conduction. E-certificates were provided to all the students who participated. There was a Quiz session too after topic discussion, and many of the students grabbed exciting gift vouchers for their excellent participation.
- LECTURE SERIES ON BASICS OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering successfully handled a LIVE LECTURE SERIES ON BASICS OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING incorporating 9 vibrant live sessions on selected days from 25.05.2020 to 19.06.2020.
Highlights of the session were the following.
- Full syllabus of ‘Basics of Electrical Engineering (EST130-Part 1) by APJA KTU for S1/S2 students of all branches covered in the series
- Acted as a Refresher Course for all semester students of Circuit branches under APJAKTU
- Effective Online doubt clearance session
- Rich participation and welcoming feedbacks from participants of different engineering colleges.

26 Students of Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Paraniyam got a vibrant practical session on ‘Awareness in Computer Networking’ and Robotics by Mr Vishakh K H & Mr Remanikanth S, Asst Professors, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering on 05/02/2020. The above was a special session conducted to give an exposure on Current trends in Engineering Sector for Engineering Aspiring Higher Secondary Science Students.

- HANDS ON TRAINING ON BASICS OF ROBOTICS
As part of the ROBOTECHZ 2019 conducted by ACE College of Engineering, faculties of Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering provided ‘Hands on training on Basics of Robotics’ to higher secondary students of various schools in and around Thiruvananthapuram district during the months of October and November 2019. Faculties and students of EEE department actively involved in the conduction of final round of ROBOTECHZ and ACE QUIZ 2019, conducted on 26.11.2019, which turned out to be a phenomenal success. Around 500 students from 28 schools participated for the same.
